Sheridan Alumni Generously Donates Over $4,700 to Support Students
A Message from your SSU President:
Last year, Sheridan Alumni helped make life a little more bearable for students by generously donating to our Breakfast for a Bruin campaign. This year, in honour of #GivingTuesday, a day of global giving that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday, our amazing group of alumni once again came together to support the program, just in time for the holiday season.
Over the last few years, more students are seeking financial aid, as well as the support of the Sheridan Student Union Food First Program, which offers Sheridan students electronic gift cards they can use at local grocery stores.
It has been amazing to see the overwhelming support from the Sheridan community this year, and we want to thank our amazing group of alumni who recently came together in support of this program through the Breakfast for a Bruin campaign. Thank you for your words of encouragement Alumni! Every dollar raised and kind word shared will make the world of difference.
Through this campaign, Sheridan Alumni raised $4,700 towards SSU’s Virtual Food First program this year!
At Sheridan Student Union, we are committed to addressing food security concerns in the Sheridan community with our Food First Program. As we emerge from the pandemic, we know that some of our students will continue to experience food insecurity as they balance tuition costs alongside daily living expenses. Your contributions have an immediate impact on the safety and wellbeing of our students, enabling us to provide more students with more electronic grocery cards than ever before.
Thank you for your continued support of the Sheridan community!
Sincerely,
Kyle Budge
Sheridan Student Union President
