What Does the Board Do?
• Provide strategic corporate oversight to the Sheridan Student Union Inc.
• Advocate for a better student life on behalf of over 25,000 Sheridan students
• Oversee and manage the SSU President
• Review and evaluate current and future opportunities to enhance the student experience.
• Develop the long-term strategic vision for the SSU.
• Approve the annual operating budget and student fees of the Sheridan Student Union.
Previous Board Accomplishments:
• Active involvement in the planning of and contributions to the new Student Centre development at HMC.
• Sponsoring several student initiatives in different student communities (LGBTQ+, Mental Health, International students, etc.)
• Contribution of $10,000 toward student academic awards to highlight achievement of fellow Sheridan students
• Approval of facility upgrades to our student centres at Davis and Trafalgar to use more sustainable products and technology.

Voting for the Sheridan Student Union Board of Directors election was conducted online from 9:00 a.m. on March 16, 2026, to 3:00 p.m. on March 20, 2026. Take a look at the official vote results for the 2026–2027 election.
Ex-officio Members
In addition to our elected students, there are ex-officio (non-voting) seats. These seats are held by the General Manager and SSU Student Executive Director.
