SSU's Coffee Talk is a series of events that brings students together to engage in important conversation and to seek peer support. In honour of Transgender Awareness Week , there will be Coffee Talks led by trans students and guests to give students a chance to connect with the community, ask questions, and expand their knowledge.

Join us on Nov. 19th to discuss the significance of Transgender Day of Remembrance and how to be an active member in your community.

Terrence Rodriguez is the Founder and Coordinator of REX Pride, a non-profit organization that supports 2SLGBTQ+ folks in his community of Rexdale and North Etobicoke. He will lead this coffee talk session and offer space to discuss how to be active community members, allies and make a impact.

Moderated by Margaret Sanderson from the Building Positive Spaces Committee, and your VP of Community Development, Julia Bertola, this discussion will give a chance to support one another through conversation and coffee.
