Artist’s Statement
After a decade as a health care professional, Priscilla returned to school to pursue her passion in glass, hoping to explore her views of the world and how culture has influenced her disposition. Her work largely relates to her relationship with food because it represents culture, politics, history, migration of people, gender roles, resistance, and survival. Her collection includes a line of functional glassware and more socially conscious conceptual work intending to connect people through the sharing of food.
