Artist’s Statement

Asian Supermarket is a series influenced by the culture of Asian grocery stores. The series challenges the viewer by focusing on select items and photographing them in a contemporary and unexpected way and in contrast to how “Asian” is typically stereotyped in society.

The Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design, together with the Creative Campus Galleries have launched a new program to award outstanding work by graduating students.
