Artist’s Statement
This book project is a reflection of some of the passive comments many girls hear on a daily basis that try to shoehorn them into a specific gender box of what a girl should or should not be. Its aim is to be relatable to all young children so that they can understand that conforming to the stereotypes of society won't make them happy, being themselves will.
