Student Art Showcase on Campus
Celebrating the Black History Creative Reflection Winners
We are proud to announce that the 2023 Black History Month Creative Reflection Contest winners are now on display at the Trafalgar Campus in the B-Wing (across from Tim Hortons)! This partnership between the Sheridan Student Union, Sheridan Black Excellence Steering Committee and Sheridan’s Faculty of Animation, Arts & Design (FAAD) showcases a collection of visual art, creative writing and multi-media works created by Sheridan students.
Each work presents a unique perspective on the 2023 Black History Month Theme: “Solidarity. Reconciliation. Now” and we invite all members of the Sheridan community to stop by and reflect on the work.
The winners include:
‘Skin Crayons’ by Christo Tandyo - 1st Place Multi-Media Winner
‘Coexisting in Unity’ by Anaum Shafi - 1st Place Visual Arts Winner
‘Beauty Salon’ by Rubiat Fusigboye - 2nd Place Visual Arts Winner
