Meet Your 2024 Black History Creative Contest Winners
Empowering our Community through Creativity
In honour of Black History Month 2024, the Sheridan community came together to reflect on our theme of “Finding Home: Belonging and Community”. We hosted a variety of event and engagements and even used it was a prompt for our 2024 Black History Month Creative Reflection Contest. This annual contest created by the Black Excellence Committee offers students from all artistic levels and interests the freedom to reflect on the diversity the lies within Black experiences.
Last year, we celebrated 5 powerful reflections that were showcased in the Student Showcase at our Trafalgar campus. This year, we are excited to announce 8 students received up to $750 for their creative submissions in the 2024 Black History Creative Reflection Contest.
As your Student Union, we are committed to empowering students through creative opportunities, providing unique opportunities for financial support and celebrating you!
