Tell us about yourself and your involvement in the Sheridan community:

“My name is Shweta Raval. I am an international student currently enrolled in first year of Architectural Technician program at HMC campus. I was always passionate about helping students out and hence I joined Peer Mentor team, department of Student Affairs at Sheridan college. Also, I am connected with NGO(non-profit organization) in USA as a peace building social worker volunteer. The name of the NGO is Tuesday's children. In India I was part of SEWA organization (Self Employed Women Associate) and doing volunteering there.”

As a member of the Board of Directors, all elected members will represent the mission and values of Sheridan Student Union. and will focus our attention and efforts in three main Pillars of Success.

For SHWETA, the importance of these pillars is as follows:

  1. ENHANCING THE WELL-BEING OF OUR STUDENTS

  2. SUPPORTING ACCESS AND ACCOUNTABILITY TO QUALITY EDUCATION

  3. CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT THAT PROMOTES A VIEW OF THE WHOLE STUDENT EXPERIENCE

Explain why you chose “Enhancing the well-being of our students” as your highest priority?

“I choose the pillar of Enhancing the well-being of our students as my highest priority. I believe that many students were facing problem particularly in the pandemic time with virtual classes but now we are able to coming out from this time and going for on-campus experience so would like to give students a better experience in this journey.”
