As a member of the SSU Executive Team, you will be an advocate on behalf of the entire Sheridan Community across all campuses, demographics, and programs. This role will focus not only on the Sheridan community, but the surrounding community as well. Bringing in external partners to offers perks, opportunities, and services to students, and facilitating opportunities for Sheridan to engage with the local community in a variety of ways. You will also be working towards building a positive campus community and enhancing the identity of individual campuses.
Attend staff meetings, planning committees, and collaborate with the college, as required;
Create monthly reports and recaps of projects and initiatives to be presented to the SSU Board of Directors;
Create initiatives to support the SSU organizational goals and priorities, while raising awareness and providing support for services and issues that students encounter;
Assist other Executives with their initiatives and projects to ensure all campuses are being considered and represented equitably;
Represent your respective campus, as needed, while recognizing the Director, Student Executive Team as the primary spokesperson of Sheridan Student Union Inc.;
Collect feedback and analyze student trends to provide guidance for the organization’s goals and priorities;
Hold the responsibility of being a signing officer for the corporation, as needed;
Help develop, review and maintain a yearly budget for the Executive Team;
Attend retreats, events, and conferences as authorized by the Director, Student Executive Team;

The Promotions & Engagement Team Member is responsible for enriching the student experience beyond academics to enhance the #SheridanLife for their fellow Sheridan students. Promotions and Engagement Team Members connect and engage with Sheridan students in-person and execute assigned promotional campaigns to ensure that Sheridan students receive information about SSU events, clubs and services.
PROMOTIONS & ENGAGEMENT TEAM MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote all SSU related events, services, and initiatives to the Sheridan community.
Assist the Marketing Department in brainstorming, developing and executing promotional campaigns. This will be done in-person at each respective home campus
Assist in the maintenance of SSU poster boards around campus, including the posting and removal of all posters on a weekly basis
Expected to attend weekly meetings with the Promotions & Engagement Team Supervisor
As directed by management, will be expected to attend certain SSU day/or night events to engage students
Represent the students at Sheridan College in all matters as required and report as necessary

Social Media Coordinators will be responsible for trend research, executing content creation and ensuring Sheridan students receive information about SSU events, services, and initiatives.

As a Clubs Coordinator, you'll work with the leaders of each club to provide clubs with resources and opportunities along with engaging with the Sheridan Community to showcase the importance and value of being involved with clubs at Sheridan. You’ll be the primary contact for Club Presidents when it comes to club initiatives and student engagement and will report to the Assistant Manager of Clubs.
CLUBS COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Club Management
Assess and approve all new campus club applications, as well as verify the annual renewal of previously existing campus clubs, granted that they meet the necessary requirements.
Maintain a positive relationship with the College and various departments at Sheridan in relation to the clubs on campus.
Ensure all members of SSU clubs act with due diligence in their operation as well as follow all Sheridan and SSU policies.
Escalate any club policy violations or issues to club management for follow through and assist with action as need be.
Encourage general club activities through providing additional resources and support for club initiatives.
Act as the primary contact for Club Presidents for events, initiatives and club engagements and maintain consistent contact throughout the year.
Organize and coordinate regular Club President Meetings for club executives.
Attend club department meetings, as required, to work and collaborate with the other Club Coordinators to brainstorm ideas and improvements to processes as the needs of the clubs change.
Attendance at retreats, conferences and events, as advised.
Coordinate monthly meetings with each club on campus, as required, to find areas to support with any ongoing events and initiatives.

Work with other SSU departments to ensure that all information in terms of large club events are communicated in an efficient and timely manner according to SSU timelines.
Attend monthly calendar meetings to update the various departmental teams on any planned club initiatives.

Organize, coordinate and run a campus Clubs Fair once each semester as well as other large department events as required.

As a Junior Designer, you’ll have the freedom to explore new designs and add your personal touch to projects while also maintaining brand guidelines at the SSU. It is the Junior Designer’s responsibility to ensure that Sheridan students receive information about SSU events, clubs, and services in clear, accessible, and engaging ways through the leverage of good graphic design practices (and lots of colors).

The Junior Designer will work closely with the Manager, Creative, other Creative Team members, the Marketing Street Team Supervisor, the Digital Community Coordinators, and management to brainstorm and execute SSU print and web content. JUNIOR DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop creative solutions for a wide range of promotional materials across varying mediums (print, web, digital spaces social media etc.)
Researching current design trends and strategizing how those trends can be translated into SSU content
Maintains or exceeds the level of work already established, while staying true to the brand guidelines
Manages time efficiently to ensure successful and timely completion of any given task.
