As a Davis Events Team member your responsibilities include:
Execution of Welcome Week, Orientation, and January Frosh & Year-end events
Set up and take down of all events
Work pub nights, day/night events, off-campus events, concerts, etc.
Prize gathering and distribution
Work with Events Team Supervisor and Team Leads to organize roles and assignments for SSU approved events
Attend regular team meetings
Represent SSU and act professionally in accordance with our SSU Corporate Policies and Sheridan College’s Policies

Part-Time Student Position - Davis Campus: APPLY NOW
This is an on-site job open to all full-time or part-time daytime student at Sheridan College with a GPA of at least 2.5, and not undergoing a co-op term between September to April.
Promote all SSU-related events, services, and initiatives to the Sheridan community
• Assist the Marketing Department in brainstorming, developing and executing promotional
campaigns. This will be done in person at each respective home campus
• Assist in the maintenance of SSU poster boards around campus, including the posting and removal of all posters weekly
• Expected to attend weekly meetings with the Promotions & Engagement Team Supervisor to brainstorm campus pop-ups/hallway engagements
• As directed by management, you will be expected to attend certain SSU day/or night events to engage students
• Represent the students at Sheridan College in all matters as required and report as necessary
• Act in such a manner that reflects the professional values and expectations of the SSUI, as well as operating in accordance with the Values and Mission as well as the by-laws and policies of SSUI

Keep dish area, staff areas, and food storage area clean and organized.
Remove garbage, organic, and recycling items efficiently and safely & dispose in the proper allocated areas.
Be mindful of personal appearance and outlet appearance at all times – this includes keeping hair tied or covered, wearing gloves, and washing hands thoroughly after handling cash, switching tasks, before and after eating, using bathroom and after sneezing or coughing
Ring in orders as necessary into the point of sale system and adhere to proper cash handling processes.

Volenteer Roles

APPLY now to be an SSU Volunteer
The SSU Volunteer Program provides Sheridan students with an opportunity to support Orientation activities while gaining hands-on experience, building connections, and helping create a welcoming environment for new students. Volunteers who complete 10 or more volunteer hours may also be eligible to receive Co-Curricular Record (CCR) credit.
Volunteer responsibilities may include:
Welcoming students and helping with wayfinding
Distributing welcome items and promotional materials
Supporting event setup and takedown
Assisting with check-in and lunch service
Sharing information about the SSU and Welcome Week activities
Supporting engagement activities and other tasks assigned by the on-site supervisor
We are looking for students who are:
Friendly, welcoming, and comfortable interacting with others
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Strong communicators and team players
Willing to assist with event setup, takedown, and general event support
Enthusiastic about creating a positive experience for new students
Volunteers can select one or more shifts based on their availability. The available shifts are:
