Meet Chef Emilio!
“My name is Emilio Pyette, I grew up in London Ont, I have been cooking professionally for the last 7 years! My background is Italian which is a strong influence but I am passionate about all cuisines especially French, Asian, Indian and Mexican. After working at a series of different restaurants with different cuisines I was given the opportunity to become the head chef at one of the top restaurants in London when I was 21 giving me the chance to perfect different techniques while still being creative and pushing myself to learn more. After a year I moved to Toronto to work at some of the top 10 restaurants further expanding my knowledge and experience. I am currently back in London and started a small business baking from home selling speciality pastries and sourdough bread. My approach to cooking is serious but laid back, positive energy in the kitchen is everything so being able to find the humour in everything is important. I'm also very passionate about teaching and try to encourage everyone around me to see the beauty in taking the extra 15 or 20 minutes to make your home cooking that much more delicious!”
