We’re continuing to spread the love with Black History Month. Come experience delicious and authentic African/Caribbean foods. We’ve got performances lined from by Black Stars and the one and only Britta Badour.
Britta Badour.
A proud and recognizable resident of Toronto’s Regent Park, Britta B. has made a name for herself as a spoken word poet both in competitive and feature performances nationwide, including the National Poetry Slam and Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. She’s also held the Toronto International Poetry Slam championship title while representing Toronto at the Woman of the World Poetry Slam.
As an Arts Educator and Leadership Workshop Facilitator, Britta has worked with students of all abilities and backgrounds in more than 250 schools and community centers nationwide. In 2016, Britta was selected as an Artist-In-Resident for The Power Plant Power Youth Program, mentoring youth in Regent Park through meaningful and artistic engagement with an emphasis on community collaboration.

Black Stars
The Black Stars is a coalition of afro-influenced dancers committed to becoming nowadays leader group of AfroFusion Dance. Their pallet of skills combines more than 7 African dance styles including Azonto, Kuduro and Ndombolo that they talent showcase as one flawless artistic expression. Check out their video below!
