Sheridan’s Black Student Mentorship Program:
Let’s Sip & Soar

Join us for a cozy afternoon of networking, meaningful conversation and fun. Hosted by Sheridan’s Black Excellence Committee (BEC) Mentorship Program, this program was created to empower and connect Black students at Sheridan College with valuable resources and supports.

Enjoy an interactive experience learning about the BEC Mentorship Program all while sipping on free hot chocolate or coffee, tea and treats. Share your ideas and jump into our trivia for a chance to snag cool prizes!

 

 

Here’s what you need to know about Cocoa & Connections:

  • This event is taking place on February 13, 2024 at the Hazel McCallion Campus Student Centre, Room B222 from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm

  • This event will give you the chance to:

    • LEARN about the BEC Mentorship Program: Find out how to get involved as a mentee or mentor in the future

    • MEET & CONNECT: Join us to connect with peers and members of the Sheridan community. Celebrate Black History and reflect on our theme of Finding Home: Belonging and Community with guided reflection questions and prompts.

    • SHARE YOUR IDEAS & FEEDBACK: Share your ideas about what you would like to see in the BEC Mentorship Program. Let us know how to further your sense of belonging and inclusion at Sheridan.

  • Although this is a drop-in event, registration is encouraged!

  • Don't miss the chance to WIN our swag giveaway: Take the quiz at our event for a chance to win a swag bag!

  • All Sheridan students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome.
