Pull up to the Black History Month marketplace for a fun filled-day of live music, performances and info booths. We’re celebrating the vibrant mosaic of African, Caribbean and Black-Canadian cultures and everyone’s invited.

This event will take place at Davis and HMC campus from 2:00PM-5:00PM on the following dates:
Wednesday, February 5 in C-wing (HMC)
Thursday, February 6 at the Den (Davis)

At 5 pm on Wednesday, February 5th, Lua Shayenne will be hosting a dance workshop in the SSU Clubsroom (HMC Student Centre C-Wing, 2nd Floor)! Based in Toronto, Canada, Lua is a dedicated student of traditional Mandé dances and rhythms.
Her workshops seamlessly integrate song, cultural insights, and live percussion, offering a thorough breakdown of each move to help you connect with the music, the culture, and your body.
Planning on attending the workshop?
Wear loose & comfortable clothes.
We dance bare feet. If you have an injury, you can wear gym footwear.
Bring a water bottle.
