We are proud to announce that Sheridan Student Union has partnered with Joni, to offer Sheridan community sexual health products. In all SSU bathrooms, regardless of gender:
Free organic/ biodegradable tampons and pads
Why are we providing free menstruation items?
Sheridan Student Union is committed to taking steps to eliminate period poverty for Sheridan students. By making these products more easily accessible and financially affordable for students we can make access to birth control and sexually transmitted infection prevention easier for all.
Period poverty is a concerning and growing issue for people across Canada as the cost of menstruation products increase, people who need them may find it difficult to afford such a basic necessities. As your student union, we know just how much of an impact access to menstruation products can have on your Sheridan Life. By providing this service across all our on campus washrooms, we hope you will have one less thing to worry about.

Period poverty is a lack of access to menstrual products, education, hygiene facilities, waste management, or a combination of these.”
Earlier this year, the SSU. joined 44 other Ontario university and college student unions to advocate for all post-secondary schools to have access to free menstrual products campus wide.
As we continue to work together to ensure all Sheridan students have the best possible college experience, we are proud to share that through our collaboration with Joni, we can now help students across all three campuses access products they may need to be comfortable and supported while at Sheridan.
