"This past year has been tough on me mentally dealing with anxiety and depression. Going to Sheridan, I want to pursue my passion for working in the film industry. Since I started at Sheridan, I’ve been passionate about film. With the strike still going, the passion and motivation that I have have been slipping away. Our documentaries and assignments have been postponed due to the strike. It’s been putting me in a depressive state and I’m trying to keep myself motivated so the passion doesn’t die. I’m worried that the longer the strike continues, the more my passion and motivation to continue film will go away and will never come back. I’m worried that I might drop out thanks to the strike. I know there isn’t anything that we can do and that it’s out of our hands. I just want the strike to end so I can get back to doing what I love."
