The Den’s Got A New Design

Stop by your new student space at Davis!

Check out The Den, located inside the Sheridan College Davis Campus student Centre!

Sheridan Student Union is pleased to announce that The Den, located inside your student centre at the Davis Campus, is now open and ready for students to enjoy our new space. The Den will be open and serving food and drinks, starting May 6.

The Den now offers:

  • A new campus food & drinks spot on campus

  • Glass windows for the natural lighting and an moss wall that we love

  • A closed area for quiet time or study sessions

  • A ping pong table if you’re looking for to have some fun

  • An adaptable space for SSU events and programming throughout the year

As with many of our spaces, student feedback was the catalyst for the upgrade and enhancing the overall college experience is our priority. Through student feedback we have learned that multi-use spaces are valuable and fit seamlessly into the ever-changing nature of the Sheridan Life. Whether students want to grab a quick bite to eat and catch up with friends, study in a cozy corner, or enjoy an impromptu game of ping pong or karaoke, having a centralized location to do many things at once added to our sense of community. SSU spaces are created with students in mind and we are excited to share the changes with you!

Looking for a place to chill on campus? We collaborated with Haworth to give students a brand new space. Find us at the Den!

Through the renovation of the Den, the Sheridan Student Union was also able to provide a hands-on learning experience for Architectural Technician student and Vice President of Engagement, Ritz Cruz. While studying at the HMC Campus, which was renovated in 2022, Ritz was able to see first had the impact that a space can have on your learning experience. "I won’t forget the vibrant atmosphere of HMC Student Centre when I first walked in during my program orientation. As an international student, I considered this campus as my home away from home. I believe having a more welcoming environment and student-focused spaces are important for everyons journey."
