Meet Your 2023 Black History Creative Reflection Contest Winners!
5 Students Create Powerful Reflections on Black Experiences
Celebrating Creativity at Sheridan
As part of our ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity and Black History year-round, Sheridan Student Union and Sheridan College created the Black History Creative Reflection Contest. Since 2021, this initiative has offered Sheridan students the chance to share their perspective on a range of topics from ‘What Does Black History Month Mean to You’ to “Learning and Unlearning” within the context of Black experiences. This year, we asked Sheridan Students to celebrate Black History Month by sharing their thoughts on our 2023 theme of “Reconciliation. Solidarity. Now.”
We are proud to announce our 2023 Black History Month Creative Reflection Contest winners and provide our students with financial support! Each student was awarded up to $750 for their reflection and all selections be showcased in our Trafalgar Campus B-Wing in the future.
