Discover Clubs, Discover Yourself !
Making the best of your student experience with getting involved!
By: Samantha Tu - SSU Clubs Coordinator, TRC
Your student experience doesn't just have to be the rush of getting through assignments and feeling like a race to graduation. Sometimes we need to slow down, take a breather and realize all the opportunities around us โ or, you can holla at me for some help finding them!
Hey there! ๐๐ฝโ I'm Samantha Tu, the 2016-17 Trafalgar Clubs Coordinator at the Sheridan Student Union. As a student coordinator, social media community leader, peer mentor and marketing vice president of the Sheridan Interaction Design Association, I've definitely been inspired by the diversity of clubs, associations and job opportunities available on campus.
I personally believe there's an importance in finding the balance of academics and social activity to enhance the student experience. โจ Creating rewarding college memories can be so much more than what happens in the classroom. Throughout my campus roles and club involvement, I have benefitted in becoming more confident with myself๐, learned more about what interests me and have developed some truly incredible friendships that have influenced me for the better.
I'm blessed and thankful to have created a student life for myself that I absolutely ๐ love and my goal is to assist other students in achieving a memorable experience of their own at Sheridan. I aim to make our school environment become recognized as not just a place of work, but to have some fun and play encouraged here too.
I'd like to encourage all students to break free from the personal bubble we all get stuck in once in a while, ๐ค step out of the comfort zone and challenge yourself to try new things.
Discover the many clubs and associations available throughout our three campuses or if you're interested in bringing something new to campus, start up your own!
Discover clubs, discover yourself.
XOXO, Samantha
